Open Letter To Those Working Telephone Communications
In the past three weeks, a female has called my cell phone, every other day, and ask for someone not at my number. She started out being nice at first, now she is being super nasty & mean.
So the following is my open letter to people working in jobs that require telephone communications!
The letter is kinda snarky, and I use one cuss word with a letter missing and an * in place, but put it behind the cut because of that, and I don't want to bore everyone who is not interested in reading it! ;-)
Frankly I am sick to death of rude people on the telephone, this piece of work broke the proverbial camel's back for me today...I have to get this off my chest someplace, so after I got done talking to my attorney I sat and typed this up, to relieve some of my over the top stress about this last straw.
Now this letter """isn't for everyone""" working in this field but to the nasty **few**, who just don't seem to GET IT!
To Whom It Concerns!!!!
If you use a telephone for the following activities: collection, solicitation, sales, or even seeking monetary donations for a worthy cause this letter is addressed to you.
Sometimes when you call a number some one has given you, you will find that they are no longer at that number. People change phone numbers, and some times dishonest people will give a number not theirs.
Please don’t assume, that since someone gave you a certain number to call, that they automatically will be at said number. After being informed that this person can not be reached at the number you are calling, please, please just give it up ! Don’t call back every other day, with your accusations either! Don’t become rude, and accuse someone of lying about the person not being present . Don’t shout at them when they tell you this number has a new owner, and the number you have for the person you are trying to reach is not good any more.
Don’t threaten the person answering the phone with dire portents of impending doom, & don’t take your failure to locate the person you are looking for, and issuing crappy mood out on the unfortunate person answering your call either.
Another tip, refusing to say where you have called from, and having your automatic system set up to hide your identity or corporate/business identity, in case of call back is also not a good idea, it makes the person you are calling at the wrong number “very suspicious” of your motives!
If you are going to harass someone make sure the person you are harassing is the right person. You just might end up getting someone on the line like me, who has traced your number back to your company of employment. This person WILL send the proper information to their attorney to have a cease and desist letter sent to your place of employment; making you look very, very, bad and incompetent at what you do to your higher ups.
While you were busy being ultra b*tch, you forgot that some times there is another b*tch out there bigger and meaner than you!!!!
Have a Nice Day!
