It's raining, so here's a joke to lighten the mood...

A 5th grader asked her mother the age-old question,'How did I get here?'

- *insert HUGE grin here* I have just discovered the absolute most amazing way to end my morning's exercise routine, and no, I'm not saying how, but let's just say that it's something that could improve my emotional and mental health in other ways too.

- I'm starting to notice little changes. As mentioned yesterday my boobs have begun to shrunk, but I've also begun to lose size in other places too - my maiden, mother, crone pendant which usually sits high around my throat like a choker has dropped to the base of my throat, while the cush is also starting to shift from around my lower back and sides.

- My sleep patterns are improving, although the number of dreams has increased. I spend a good part of the night on adventures I'm not remembering in the morning. My energy levels are also increasing.

- Despite the fact that I've just about completed forty-five paintings based upon greek mythology, I find myself thinking that I will be continuing to add to the gallery. There are other gods, goddesses, and mythological beings I wish to add. I've never been too keen on the way Medusa was portrayed and would love to depict her in a gentler manner, and then there is Hecate ... I find that my focus has changed over the last few months. I find I'm connecting with the Greek Pantheon far more than I do the Celtic. Gaia and Hecate sing to me in ways that Brigid and Morrighan do not.

- I'm disgustingly happy that my sis, Mande, is happy and that all is going so well for her right now.

I think I finally figured out how to update my site now that FPEs are no longer allowed on my website host.  I use FrontPage and was afraid that I'd have to use a new program and start from scratch.  Thank Goodness!!

I have completed 3 paintings since my last update: Sweet Revenge, Over the Edge and Loli Curls.  They're all available in the Gothic/Dark Art Gallery.  They're all also available as minis, magnets, stickers and greeting cards.  (Loli Curls is NOT available as an 8.5x11 print...the original is too small)

I've also just returned from DemiCon!!  I stayed the whole weekend with family in DesMoines and got to see the whole con from start to finish.  I had prints, minis, magnets, stickers, bookmarks, cameos and candles at my table in the Dealer Room.  I also had matted/hand embellished prints and framed/matted originals in the Art Show.  

I had so much fun, that I'm already registered for next year.  I haven't decided if I'm doing a table or not, but I'm definitely going to the con!!  And as a special treat my friend, and fellow fantasy artist, Sara Butcher will be Artist Guest of Honor for next year's con!!  

I also was awarded the Best Amateur Group (collection) award in the Art Show!!  o.O  I was so surprised and honored!!  Totally unexpected.

Up Your Art has added a few more of my designs to their PSP Tubes.  If you're interested check out the Up Your Art site to see what's available!!

I am excited to announce that Candles Enchanted is carrying a full line of candle products with 3 of my images on them!!!  Full Moon, Empty Heart, Midnight Stalker and Lost in Memories are available in heavenly scents!!  I have some of these candles and they're simply divine!!

So I know I have been terribly remiss in not posting a lengthy and detailed account  of the fabulous time that was the Spoutwood Fairie Fest. SO MUCH HAPPENED THAT WAS AWESOME - I truly fear we would all just implode from the knowledge were I to share it in one large chunk. So rather I will dole it out as it comes to me.

However we get to do most of it all again soon at Maryland Fairie Festival - at which I am a guest of honor along with the ever lovely Ms. Jessica Galbreth. Except this time.....mwhahahha.....this time.....I will have video capturing equipment! AHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!

Sooooo this means I will be filming some of the fest and filming interviews with the artists to post to our lovely Isle Brythony in Second Life.
And they will be available even if you don't go into Second Life so no worries that you will miss it.

Yippee!!

Okay a few Spoutwood Snippets.

Diana Zimmerman - lovely lady and author of the fabulous new book Kandide was stationed right next to me in the Faerie Magazine booth. She bought an original drawing of mine. A very recent and very personal graphite piece called "Incomplete". I was so flattered and blown away. A great lady and a great book!

It was loads of fun having them so close by!

Sadly our dear friend janestarrweils was not near us this year so we couldn't hang out as much as we would like. But next year she will be appearing in the Faerie Magazine booth and that'll be great fun!!!

parrish_relics was there! And I got to meet long time LJ friend Jen Parrish in person and stand slack jawed in her tent drooling. LOL. I bought a lovely pair of earrings and pointed out many other beautiful things to my husband for his own future gift giving reference. He he he.

Two Linda's! Linda Biggs and Linda Ravenscroft - dear friends and lovely tiny people (are all Linda's short?) - Linda B is always such a blast to hang out with she is such a beautiful person inside and out and a great talent with an incredibly unique style.
Linda R was right next to us in Faerie Mag's booth for the second year in a row. She and her husband are such a hoot and just awesome people. It was AMAZING to sit and watch her doodle away with a ballpoint pen! She's the master!

Okay more later. I can't stand it.
